Hi,

How about asking members where their favorite place to go look at and/or shop for glass is?

As one who sells glass in a shop and at shows I enjoy when collectors, of any level, come in. Yes when they buy something it’s nice, yet even if they just enjoy looking I’m ok with that.

It would be good to hear where collectors head to see glass……which museums, shops, shows, websites, auctions, etc…..

Not surprised it wasn’t added to the unlisted shape list! Probably shown in another portion of Gardner, as this type of work was done on bowls, candlesticks, compotes (tazza’s), goblets and probably several other shapes.

Holiday greetings, Alan, and fellow beneficiaries of your great Gazette –

I have the flat flanged version of Dave and Duane’s compote. While my gold ruby version is pictured on the website, #7032, as being 7 inches tall, it is really only 5 ” by 6″, across the bowl. It has the same engraved serrations along the rim, as does theirs, and there are also engraved ovals where the color meets the clear, though I cannot tell if theirs also has them or not. In all other respects, all stem and foot configurations, with the Lily decoration, are the same. Alas, mine does not even have so much as their partial label as authentication. I also have the feeling there are plates with Lily pattern, but do not recall that they were ever done in anything but gold ruby or green.
