Carder Steuben

Issue 3329

I have to get out a ladder to get my example of this vase down from the top shelf in my closet. My one is in yellow vaseline glass, but it is clearly signed with the Hawkes fleur-de-lis and not the Steuben one. That does make sense, as Hawkes used many Steuben. Jan Baer

Identification Discussion

Hi Alan,

To answer David Chadwick-Brown’s question regarding the ovals being present where the gold ruby meets the clear&they are.

If the compote in this configuration is present elsewhere in Gardner, or anywhere for that matter, we would appreciate the help of the group in giving us a heads-up. Neither Scott, nor us, were able to arrive at a match in our searching last year.

Thank you for the responses,

David Kingsley and Duane Moulton
