What’s in 140 colors?

Issue 318

In the Carder Steuben Club web site I was rambling around and took a look at
the section on colors. Haven’t done that in sometime. I was surprised with its
development. Not fully developed, but a good beginning on the difficult and
delicate subject of the 140 colors that Mr. Carder created the formulas and
names for. You may wish to take a look at this.

Colors have always been a tricky and difficult task. The common colors are easily
agreed upon. However, then it gets more difficult. With this in mind, you as a
reviewer may disagree with a color, or may think you have a photo with a better
example of a particular color; or, a color not yet identified. Please don’t
hesitate to contact our webmaster, Mark Buffa with your comments. We want
this website to not only be fully developed, but quite accurate. For that matter
if you disagree with any shape numbers let Mark know that as well. Overall, I
think you’ll be pleased with the direction Mark is going. He can be contacted at
