Devilbiss & future discussion

Dec 18, 2007
Issue 316

At our Symposium last Sept. presenter Marsha Crafts said she would try and put
together some relevant catalogues of Devilbiss where Steuben blanks were
used. Marsha contemplated paper copies of these catalogues. Well, she’s done
that and finds that it is over 200 pages. So, she has put it in CD form. If you
are interested, here are the details. Since it is the holiday time and like all
other retailers, S&H is free.
Anyone that wants a CD of the 1924,25,26,28 with 1927pics only ($15. with shipping) can contact me.

This past week has focused on a fascinating discussion starting with the question
of whether the term “Club” is appropriate. Vivienne Richards says: I don’t know
where these interesting discussions are headed, but I think they will result in some
actionable item for the Club, which will be for the general good.
Well, Vivienne, with that in mind I am seeing this September’s
Symposium starting to take shape. I envision several hours of programming
dealing with this subject preceding our annual meeting. Thus far, I’ve lined up
three speakers to talk and stir up the issues we’ve discussed on this internet email.
Any more volunteers? Mark Sept. 18-20, 2008 on your calendar for
Corning. You won’t want to miss it.

Meanwhile, have a great holiday season. All this discussion has stirred much
passion. Several people have stepped up who don’t belong to the Club and
recognize group power to affect the appreciation of Mr. Carder’s art. Give
yourself or someone else a membership in the Club. It is a membership that
gives back. It even gets you another free membership in CMoG. Application
attached.
