The Man Who Saw

Sep 10, 2008
Issue 407

We’ve covered in time sequence Carder Steuben Glass introductions as
discussed in “The Man Who Saw” feature section of the trade publication “The
Pottery, Glass & Brass Salesman”. August of 1921 and into 1922 sees the introduction of mirror black which “is very effective” trimmed in white, red and other colors in lamp bases, candle sticks and perfumes.

Also, “The Steuben concern has for some time been making quite a feature of
glass cigarette holders in various colors. These are very dainty and are intended
primarily for women’s use.”
