John Styler suggested that the what remains of Steuben stock may find its way to Filene’s basement. Judy Morton of Newburgh, Indiana observes

In regard to the closing of the N.Y. Steuben store and moving the merchandise, I Suspect the goods will not go to Filene’s Basement because they too have closed.

I seem to recall an article in the Journal.

On the question of the status of Bob Mueller’s proposed book, Bob asks

DEAR ALAN, I SEE OTHER PEOPLE ARE ALSO WONDERING WHY MY BOOK IS NOT OUT YET OR WHY IS IT NOT ON THE INTERNET—I CAN GO INTO REASONS ,BUT I WOULD TRULY BE SHOT BY A FEW PEOPLE. I AM GLAD TO SEE PEOPLE ARE STRILL INTERESTED IN THE BOOK. ALL I CAN SAY IS TO WRITE TO MY —– PUBLISHERAND ASK THEM. I AM SO SORRY THAT MY BOOK IS NOT OUT YET AND DO APOLIGIZE TO ALL BUT I DO NOT HAVE THE LAST SAY IN WHEN IT IS COMING OUT. PLEASE WRITE TO THE SHIFFERS AND ASK THEM WHY IS IT NOT ON THE INTERNET OR PUBLISHED YET. THANKS MARSHALL I GOT SOMETHING OFF MY CHEST AND NOW PUT IT ON THE SCHIFFERS TO NOW DO SOME WORK ON IT BOB MUELLER IF I WERE A BETTER I WOULD BET THAT I WILL DIE BEFORE THE BOOK COMES OUT
