Issue 200
It’s a big birthday. Sandra Herron (Bob Rockwell’s daughter–pictured with Bob at the Symposium) wants to spread the word and extend an invitation:
The Rockwell Museum in Corning, NY will host an open house
On Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, from 2:30 – 5:30PM
In honor of Mr. Rockwell’s 95th Birthday (actual birthday is 11/8)
The new exhibit can be viewed and refreshments will be served.
This exhibit is “Field and Stream” photos and paintings of nature from the collections
and other sources. The public is invited.
Sandra thought maybe members of the club might be interested in joining the family for
this celebration.
A special happy birthday Bob!
The final grouping tonight is from the cemetery where Mr. Carder is buried. You’ll see his
monument and plaques for his wife and children. Also, the marker for the Hawkes family. Finally a monument made of an enormous piece of light yellow glass. Could be viewed as ironic use of colored glass for the Houghton section of the cemetery.
