PERSPECTIVE

In an earlier Gazette one participant asked for observations on the state of the current market place for Steuben. We had only two responses sent out earlier. Anyhow, John Styler of Prospect Heights, Illinois sends his perspective on the current state of the glass world and investment world.
Certainly the prices on all treasures are relative to the market today. You can pickup a condo for $280,000 that sold for $500,000 two years ago so one should expect the price of “treasures” be a steal as well. Look at Berkshire Hathaway class B, two years ago it was $5,360 and today $3,291, there’s a real investment.
