Kim Carlisle

Issue 213

I’ve received a couple of comments as a follow up to yesterday’s Gazette comments on Kim Carlisle and his cleaning of glass, which I’m sharing.
Thanks for sharing the information on Kim Carlisle and glass cleaning. I
have used Kim for years, and have used other glass repair people as well,
but for cleaning (particularly that cloudy “bloom” that sometimes is found
inside a piece), Kim is head and shoulders above the rest! The results are
amazing, and well worth the wait.

And from CW Antiques I have talked to Kim before, he knows a lot about glass. he guarantees your satisfaction with his work or you pay only the shipping.
Glad to share these comments. If there are any others, pass them on.
Also, Reyne Haines of Cincinnati (Tiffany expert) has sent out an announcement that she and her Antiques Roadshow colleague, Lark Mason, are starting a venture of a quarterly 20th Century Decorative Arts auctions in Cincinnati. Reyne is targeting a March, 2007 auction and is seeking consignments.
