Perfume Correction

In the last Gazette we showed the cover page of an exhibit catalog from the Wheaton Arts & Cultural Center. We included a picture of the Gold Aurene perfume. However, the link to the Carder Steuben Shape Gallery was in error. Click on the following Gold Aurene image to link to the correct shape number.

David Goldstein wrote in because the Red and Blue Paperweight Cologne pictured on the cover of the perfume exhibit catalog is one that he sold to the individual who lent it to Wheaton Arts & Cultural Center.

David says I had a year where I had three paperweight colognes, including two of these.

Collector’s Favorites–Lace Glass

After the Carder collection was moved to CMoG in the calendar year 2000, the Friends of Carder support organization was disbanded at the Rockwell Museum. That, of necessity, called for an independent support organization, The Carder Steuben Club. The Friends of Carder put out a yearly group of monographs called “Collector’s Choice Review”. The writers of each of these Reviews wrote about their favorite piece of Carder glass. Totally 54 of these Reviews were issued. To keep the momentum going The newly organized Carder Steuben Club created a similar program from 2003-2006. These have been reproduced in the Gazette from time to time. Here follows another one done by Bob Mueller of Minneapolis.
