Enjoy the weekend. We’ll be back on Monday. I looked for a turkey pattern from Mr. Carder. Couldn’t find any, but how about a mallard?

Educating Our Youth

Dear Alan & Susan,

What a wonderful and generous gift to the University of Southern Indiana. I have often thought that part of the reason younger people have not acquired an interest in glassware (or ceramics, or silver, or other things) of the past is simply a lack of exposure. This will go a long way to help expose young people to the beauty of Carder Steuben glass in particular, and the decorative arts in general. Bravo!

colored glass canes. Canes are groupings of multi-colored, thin rods that are fused together….
