John Styler asked for help in identifying a tumbler. Answers were provided in the last (#1383) Gazette. John says thanks.

My thanks to Michael Krumme for the EBay 370577987386 link which identifies the cordial / sherry I have, now I know they are Pairpoint; the very same pattern. I knew they were not Steuben. I recon the tumblers are also Pairpoint.

Also thanks to Neil Ungers heads-up on the show in March, like I need any more, but I’ll be there.

Tommy Dreiling of Brooklyn has an interesting question.

Alan – I have a question I have always wondered about. I have a pair or orange Cintra candlesticks. Cintra is made by rolling a gather of crystal in powdered glass, in this case orange. I have never heard of or seen any other Steuben in an orange color like this. Did they make this orange just to pulverize to make Cintra and never use it for anything else? – Tommy Dreiling
