Courtesy of member John Kohut he brings us news of bottle detective Spillman
to be seen on PBS this weekend.
The History Detectives show on PBS this coming Labor Day evening (see link
below) has a segment about an early bottle possibly connected to the Whiskey
Rebellion. It’s airing nationally on Monday, Sept. 4 at 9 PM on your local PBS station.
The “bottle segment” should feature interviews with Corning Museum of Glass
experts – Jane Spillman and Bill Gudenrath among others – and was partially filmed
on the CMoG campus earlier this summer. Check it out – if you were at the ACGA convention in July you may catch some familiar faces and surrounds.

Also, if you haven’t yet signed up for the Symposium Sept 14-16, the application
form is attached. There are still spots for Friday night’s dinner at The Knoll
available. Promises to be a special and memorable time.
