Issue 3460
I am James Russell, president of the Westchester Glass Club, I just returned from visiting Corning with our program director Susan Haller. We had an absolutely wonderful time up there, as the leaves are at peak!
We saw Max and Kitty Erlacher – in Kitty’s new store on Market Street – and we had a nice discussion about engraving.
I also purchased the book The Houghton’s of Corning from Thomas Dimitroff (picked it up signed at his front door as both he and his wife are recuperating, but we did have a very nice conversation!).
Then in the Contemporary Glass Gallery we just happened to see a John DeWit vase which I donated to CMoG in 2008! What serendipity!
This month we have our monthly zoom meeting with Tom Felt of the West Virginia Glass Museum talking about Steuben glass. It’s on Tuesday October 13th at 11 am.
If anyone is interested in attending, the link is below (we can only accommodate a total of 100 of which 30 are from our local glass clubs including Founders and Cape Cod Glass clubs, but that’s a stretch!).
Best,
Jim Russell
