CASED, FLASHED, STAINED?
This question has been posed:
“I’ve been studying glass recently with two layers – colored over colorless. These pieces are variously described as “cased”, “flashed” or “stained”. Could someone please explain the difference among these three terms and how I can tell the difference (especially in a photograph)?”

I agree that the bowl in Gazette #1704 is Shape 2851 but the color looks more like Wisteria than Amethyst. I suggest that someone at the museum look at the bowl under both fluorescent and iridescent light to see if it appears to change color. If it does, its Wisteria.
