Karen Ohland send the following as a follow up to yesterday’s Gazette on the
Wichita Art Museum exhibit. If anyone has pictures they would share on the
New York exhibit, we’d be glad to showcase them.
The photographs are wonderful. Thank you for sharing them – it looks like it was a spectacular exhibit.

On that note, the exhibit of Carder Steuben on the lower level at the Steuben flagship store at 61st and Madison in NY is also wonderful. I don’t have any pictures, but there are many beautiful pieces loaned by the Rockwell Museum, Lynn Quick, Bill Melanbacher, Albert and David and Tom Dimitroff. I believe it has been extended until at least the end of May, so if anyone is in the area and has not seen it, I highly recommend it.
Earlier this week I was also privileged to hear Tom speak at the store about our favorite subjects – Frederick Carder and Steuben. Tom did a wonderful job speaking to an audience most of whom were not aware of the Carder era of Steuben. And the pieces of Carder Steuben on display for sale on the main and upper levels of the store are gorgeous. Based on the sales that were being rung up, I think there are now more Carder Steuben collectors…
