The comments about a limited number of Steuben dealers in New York City has resonated based on some of the responses I’ve been receiving. We’ll move on to that after we finish our visit to Steuben Glass which we’ll be showing in the next several e-mails. However, this reminds us that the number of dealers and resources have been shrinking in recent years. Or, put another way, we collectors should remember to appreciate those dealers who fight the fight and work to acquire Carder’s works, then go to shows, pay the rent and, on and on, to deliver the goods to us collectors.
