What’s in a color

Dr. Greg Merkel, research fellow at Corning Incorporated, adds this piece of information on the color of David & Elissa Goldstein’s “Diving Ladies” figurals in their centerpiece (see attachment).

I’d like to suggest the possibility that the ladies in question may very well be Smoke Crystal, the color of which tends to lie between Rosa and Pale Amethyst. As thinner-walled tableware, Smoke Crystal is, of course, much lighter in color than these figurals.
