I found Rande’s photo of the dark amethyst candle stick very interesting. Lon and I owned this vase for many years, referring to the threading as “black”. It wasn’t until we were moving displays around and bright natural sunlight caught it just right – we realized it was actually dark amethyst. Photo credit to the Jeff Evans crew – they did a great job highlighting the pretty color.
