Made in the Shade

This is a somewhat unusual shade. It is opaline glass with Gold Aurene stripes and Gold Aurene vines. Carder designed at least three of these with somewhat different shapes but with similar decoration. The 2399 has Gold Aurene stripes with green vines while the other two, the 2400 and 2401 have Gold Aurene vines. MK

2013 Carder Steuben Club annual Symposium will be held at The Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY from September 19-21, 2013. The festivities will begin with Frederick Carder’s 150th birthday celebration on the evening of September 18, 2013.
