Vintage Glass in your Home

Apr 21, 2026
Issue 3784

Those who attended the 2024 Symposium may remember the Member Spotlight on Vintage Lighting in Your Home presentation by Cheryl Dartt. In that session, club members shared how they incorporated vintage glass lighting into their homes. The presentation was a favorite, so for this year’s symposium, we’re excited to expand on that theme, and we invite you to participate!

We’re asking members to share how you use your non-lighting vintage Steuben and other vintage pieces throughout your home. Whether displayed as part of a table setting, on a buffet or mantel, or arranged around seasonal or holiday themes, we would love to see your creativity. Your pieces may be colored or clear, and they don’t have to be limited to Steuben. Works by any maker that fit the theme are welcome. Be creative and have fun! Please submit as many photos as you’d like, showing how you incorporate your vintage pieces into your everyday living spaces.

These photos hopefully provide some creative inspiration, and we can’t wait to see how you use your glass.

Please send us your photos to cardersteuben2026display@gmail.com ideally by mid-July along with any details you wish to add so we can share at this year’s symposium. Also, let us know if you wish to remain anonymous.

Thank you in advance! We look forward to seeing your beautiful and inspiring displays. — Steve Skalsky

EASTERN NATIONAL ANTIQUE SHOW & SALE

On Friday May 7th and Saturday May 8th, the Carder Steuben Glass Association will be presenting a beautiful display of Carder Steuben glass at the show. If you have the opportunity, we encourage you to attend and enjoy this special exhibit.

The Eastern National Antique Show and Sale will be held at the Carlisle Expo Center, 100 K St. in Carlisle, PA. The show is one of the few that is still operating, and remains a wonderful destination for discovering exceptional pieces of glass and other antiques. We hope to see you there!
