Issue 981
Thursday, November 11, 2010
Well, the new www.CarderSteubenClub.org web site is up and running for a few days now. Hope you’ve had an opportunity to look, see and experiment. It’s rather fantastic how you can search for a piece of glass by shape number, technique, color, type of glass and any number of ways. There are currently over 2,000 pieces of glass posted. More going on daily. Hopefully, if you have a picture of a piece that isn’t on the site you’ll share and help provide this resource that will help future viewers to be able to identify works of Carder Steuben. info@cardersteuben.com
A few comments on the site.
First, from Marti DeGraaf site developer of Chicago
Just a quick note to congratulate you and the Carder Steuben Club, Inc. board of directors on the launch of your new website. Our warmest wishes to you for its success and hopefully the members will appreciate the effort that it takes to bring such an extensive database together. Marshall has been a most exceptional webmaster – and much more. Without him, I am sure that all of the images that are on the site today would have eventually been added, but Marshall made them happen in record time. Our thanks also go to the CSC website team that steered and supported the new site.
Our best wishes for your new site –
Marti

Congratulations on the new Gazette site. It’s great, easy to navigate, thorough and has a nice search feature, especially for all the past Gazelle Gazettes as well as illustrated form numbers.
Nice work!
