Hi Alan,
Seems something is getting lost here. With either Ivory or Yellow jade in some cases the glass can appear translucent or totally opaque.

To clarify a little the Jades will be slightly more translucent than the Ivory because their Alabaster base glass is more translucent, except for Blue Jade over Flint White.
Finally, from Dick Stark of Bethesda, Maryland
Jade is just as translucent as ivory.
