It began during Mr. Carder’s lifetime; it continues today, some 49 years after his death. Next year on September 18, Peetie & Tom Dimitroff will continue their tradition of celebrating Mr. Carder’s birthday at the Corning Country Club. Yes, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 festivities will begin. Peetie & Tom are already planning for Mr. Carder’s 150th birthday party to launch another Symposium that will follow on Thursday the 19th through the weekend. It’s a special occasion, so mark it on your calendars. In the meantime, for the next several days we’ll be reprising the Symposium with pictures. We’ll begin with the birthday party and move on from there in the coming days.

Hi,

This year’s birthday celebration was excellent. Howard Kwan gave a talk on his Steuben shades and the toast was by Marshal Ketchum.

Hear are a few photos the club might like to see.

Thank you and the officers of the club for such a wonderful symposium. Thanks to the President for making me a part of the program.

Best, Tom Dimitroff
