Crystal glass plaques with portrait intaglio were used as favors at the banquet given by Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, October 21, 1929, to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Edison’s invention of the electric light and the opening o the Henry Ford Museum. p.93 The Glass of Frederick Carder by Paul V. Gardner
Correct me if I am wrong but I remember hearing the Edison plaques that were at the opening of the Ford Museum mysteriously disappeared. I seem to remember hearing this at a symposium several years ago.
