We’re trying to track down museums that have Carder Steuben Glass in their collections. Today we’re sharing some background by Joann Tortarolo of Highland, California on the Historic Glass Museum in Redlands, California, and their very nice collection of Carder Steuben Glass.
Thanks to the encouragement of our loudest cheerleader, Lisa Ackerman, we want to add our museum to your Carder Steuben database.
The Historical Glass Museum opened in 1985 in Redlands, CA, and is the only museum dedicated solely to historical American glass west of the Mississippi! We have 4300+ items on display with many others in storage.
Among our proudest collections is our collection of Carder Steuben Glass. We have had a recent change of leadership and we are in the midst of redoing our website and many other things. This has been a great opportunity for the current Board of Directors to take what is a fabulous collection and make it even better. Thus, you will find only the most basic information on our website as of now with more in the future.
I have attached a picture of our Carder Steuben collection so you can appreciate it as much as we do!
