The Rotary Gallery At The Rockwell

Nov 11, 2012
Issue 3313

The enormous Rockwell Museum Carder collection, features the Reifschlager Gallery, which is much like a series of elegant jewelry cases, with story boards serving as educational tools for some of the best of the best. The Rockwell had adjacent to the Reifschlager Gallery the Rotary Gallery, which is just more normal style shelving for their enormous collection.

As previously reported the entirety of The Rockwell Museum (approximately 3,000 Carder objects) was loaned to CMoG in around the year 2000, where a vast majority of this Rockwell Museum Carder collection is now on display in Building “B”, across the parking lot from the CMoG museum itself. Building “B” also includes the Studio, where glass artists train, and the Carder collection serves as an inspiration to these students.
