The Pope receives a Steuben cat from Today show hosts Matt Lauer and Al Roker

Pope Benedict XVI is a cat lover — who knew? He even wrote a biography for children titled, “Joseph and Chico: The Life of Pope Benedict XVI as Told by a Cat.” So what better way to celebrate His Holiness’s feline fancy than with a whimsical crystal cat from Steuben. Today show hosts Matt Lauer and Al Roker did just that on their June 1st visit to Rome, when they presented the pontiff with the Curious Cat, a playful piece cat collectors worldwide adore.
