The Haviland & Company Mark

Feb 4, 2019
Issue 3126

Between 1910 and 1915, Aurene pieces were made for the retailer Haviland & Co. and were commonly marked “Aurene” and “Haviland & Co.”stamped with either matte acid or paint. P. 230, Frederick Carder and Steuben Glass by Thomas P. Dimitroff.

Objects marked Haviland & Co were especially made for the porcelain manufacturer of that name to complement their decorated tablewares. P. 132, American Art Nouveau Glass by Albert Christian Revi.

Question Asked

Jeremy Hayes would like to see Haviland china line pictures and whether there was advertisements showing both the Haviland china and Carder pieces together. Can anyone help with this?

Haviland Marked Gold Aurene and Millefiori

Hi Alan,

We have a beautiful lamp in Gold Aurene with Millefiori decoration with a partial Haviland mark on the base. We have had many pieces come through the shop over the years in both Gold Aurene and the millefiori decorated with the Haviland mark. Attached is a photo of the lamp.
