As a Follow Up To Previous Discussion of Great Engravers

Thanks to Gail Bardhan at the Rakow Library at CMoG

Alan:

I have two images of Max Ehrlacher’s work from about 1982, and one image of the 1982 exhibit case with a piece by Max and a piece by Sautner.

Thanks for allowing us to share once again some of the resources of our library!

The exhibit was “Cameo glass: masterpieces from 2000 years of glassmaking”, held at the Corning Museum of Glass in 1982. The exhibit catalog mentions both Max Erlacher and Barry Sautner, but the actual catalog, unfortunately, does not contain illustrations of their work. Leonard and Gypsy Rakow, co-curators of the exhibit with Sidney Goldstein, were great supporters of Sautner, and the Rakow Library has many slides of his work. The Library also has much information on Max.
