John Styler Needs Your Help

As a Board member of our Carder Steuben Club I have taken on the task of soliciting our members to send in their membership renewals and hopefully we will get new interested collectors to join.
I know if you haven’t already renewed it’s either because of business obligations or personal ones that have delayed your renewing, but please take a minute and get onboard. We have so much to offer and you don’t want to be left out.
There is a link right here on this Gazelle Gazette that will make it so very easy; at the bottom of the page in the PINK area.
I do believe because of the expansion in our scope of interest in post Carder Steuben we have garnered new members to our club.
Thanks for your interest it pleases all of us.

News From the International Perfume Bottle Association About a Member in Common with the CSC

New Book: “DeVilbiss Perfume Bottles: 1907 to 1968”:
IPBA long-time members Marti DeGraaf and Toby Mack have written this wonderful definitive book on their collecting passion. Marti is a past president and Toby a past Board member. This is a complete guide to collecting and understanding the perfume bottles and related vanity products by DeVilbiss. It is 288 pages long with 734 color and 180 black/white photos. The text provides information from never-before-seen company archives. Special focus is given to the glass manufacturers that supplied the bottles to DeVilbiss. Also included is an exploration of the early cut and decorated bottles from Bohemia and the American Brilliant period, the opulent designs of the 1920s, the recovery from Depression along with new tastes of the 1930s, and the post-war embrace of the glass masters of Murano, Germany, and France.
DeVilbiss lovers — here’s your long awaited must-have book!
Available for pre-order on Amazon.com for release on February 28, 2014. Also available at Barnes & Noble and SchifferBooks.com.
Marti and Toby will be making a presentation at convention titled “DeVilbiss- Beyond the Catalogs.”
