Thank You to Alan Shovers

Jan 25, 2022
Issue 3631

The Board and membership of the Carder Steuben Glass Association would like to express our thanks to Alan Shovers for all of his work on the Gazelle Gazette. The Gazette was created soon after the formation of the new Carder Steuben Club. However, when Alan became President he personally made it into what we know it as today: A quick communication of notices, information, and conversations via email. Alan sent out Gazettes every week and often daily. He continued well after his tenure as President and his hard work is greatly appreciated. His effort has been a key to our organization’s success as many of us look forward to seeing a Gazette in our inbox. Best wishes to Alan and Susan as we transition into new formats for our website, social media, and the Gazelle Gazette.

Sincerely,

Karen Beeman, President

Join Us on Facebook

The Carder Steuben Glass Association has a group on Facebook. Please join in and share your photos, stories, resources, ask questions, and share your expertise with others. You can find the group here or by doing a search within Facebook for the association name. The group has a “Private” setting, meaning that only members can see what content is shared within the group. When you ask to join the group there are a few short questions to answer, an admin will review your request, and then once approved you can participate in the conversations.

Reminder ~ Zoom Social This Saturday

Our first Carder Steuben Glass Association member event of the year will be held virtually this Saturday, January 29 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm EST. This will be a social “Show and Tell” — a chance to connect with other members and enjoy seeing some beautiful glass. Please join us on Zoom and bring an item you would like to share. Meeting instructions will be emailed to CSGA members on Thursday. We look forward to seeing you!
