CARDER STEUBEN SYMPOSIUM SHOW

The Carder Steuben Club’s Annual Symposium has always been held on Friday and Saturday. However, because most participants arrive on Thursday (if not sooner), we have usually had some activities planned for Thursday afternoon or evening. Traditionally, this was a pizza party but last year, for the first time, we had a show and sale of (primarily) Carder Steuben on Thursday evening.

The show was well-received by our Symposium attendees, so we are again going to have a show, beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 15. This year we are also having a buffet dinner during the show so that our attendees will have more time and room to socialize. Most of the exhibitors at the show are members who are also dealers, but we also have one or two members who are selling items from their personal collections.

Last year the pieces offered for sale ranged from true Carder rarities to more standard pieces. I expect that there will be a similar range this year, because some of our participants hold Carder pieces for this show.

You can sign up and pay for the buffet at the show when you register for the Symposium. Note that the early Symposium registration discount expires on September 2nd, and that to facilitate socializing, attendance at the show is limited to Symposium attendees and guests invited by the participating dealers.
