For those attending the Symposium next week, here are a few (well, maybe more than a few) final reminders.
- Bring your CMoG ID card. It facilitates access to the Museum and ensures you will get your 15% purchase discount in the GlassMarket.
- Bring your checkbook or cash to make Saturday night auction purchases. We can’t accept credit cards. They may also be the preferred payment means at the glass show on Thursday.
- Saturday evening, remember to bring a photo ID. It will be matched with the attendance list. Also remember that no cameras, including cell phone cameras, are permitted. If you bring any camera, it will need to be left with the security staff before you begin the tour.
- Bring a goblet, sherbet or plate from your collection and the story that goes with it to share with us at the Group Collector’s Choice session.
- If you have a question about a piece of Carder Steuben glass, bring it with you to the Identification Clinic and we will see if we can get your question answered.
- If your travel schedule permits, stop by the Rakow Library any time Thursday afternoon between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and help with the volunteer work session. The glass show starts at 5:00 p.m. in the Carder Room at the Radisson Hotel.
- Our goal is to start on time Friday morning (9:00 a.m. sharp) so stop by the Museum auditorium as early as 8:30 a.m., pick up your materials, have some breakfast and enjoy a slide show of the photographs of Carder glass that were part of the joint project between the Club and the Rakow Library which won a national award this year.
-
Mark your calendars for the 2011 Symposium in Corning – September 15, 16 and 17.
