Symposium – Current CMoG Exhibits

Nov 2, 2018
Issue 3073

report by

Bonnie Salzman

Symposium attendees were provided a tour of CMoG’s exhibit “Glass of the Architects: Vienna 1900 – 1937” from its curator, Alexandra Ruggiero.

This was a beautiful exhibit of glass not often seen, highlighted by Josef Hoffmann’s Dressing Room for a Star that was first displayed at the 1937 International Exposition in Paris.

And

In connection with 150 Years of Glassmaking in Corning, the Crystal City Gallery was refreshed with a beautiful wall of ABP cut glass plates. We even saw a few Carder Steuben pieces!
