John Stranges of Bath, New York cheerleads:

Ok Alan and Lon Now that we got to 201 let’s try for 250 members! John Stranges

Joining the cheerleading with Lon Knickerbocker for the growing membership is Kathleen Herdell of St. Helena, California

At the next meeting, I would like someone to make this motion:

Lon Knickerbocker, Treasure of the Carder Steuben Club, did such a fantastic job in his membership drive results he is not allowed to have his term end and must do another term.

I don’t find his emails begging…just effective!

Very truly yours,

Kathleen A. Herdell

JoAnn Godawa of Bellevue, Nebraska has a great idea. The next question is how to get it done.

Hello Alan,

I was just sitting here thinking, wouldn’t it be nice to read some sort of introduction from the new members. Are they seasoned collectors, dealers, shop owners or new to glass collecting?

My long time friend, former employee and new member #199 or 201, Jim Anacker, has quite a history with Steuben Glass having worked for Donna Fischer and Joan Miller for many years. As you know, they were preeminent Steuben Dealers.

Jim is from Wisconsin and has retired, here in Nebraska. Though not a collector, his knowledge and appreciation of Steuben Glass is extensive.

Best regards,
Jo Ann Godawa
