I would suggest the piece attributed to Fredrick Carder is actually French. Rousseau / Leveille. Circa 1880 – 1890

The handled jug appears to me to be a Stevens & Williams piece that was either never completed due to the severe cracks at the base area, or was just a test blank, ie design. Of course the damaged at the base may have occurred after manufacture by force applied at the base or even during the grinding of the base area. The S & W pieces pictured in Grover’s EUROPEAN ART GLASS are significantly more refined with lovely cut motifs. These pieces are very interesting as the speak more of Art Deco than of “Victorian styled” glass.
