Did You Know That Scott Hansen Collects Carder Designed Pyrex Teapots?

Scott Hansen Responds To This Report in Last Friday’s Gazette

Yes, it is true that I collect Carder designed teapots like those shown in Friday’s Gazette. However, the two examples shown above are aspirational for my collection. I don’t own them yet. Engraved teapots like those shown are scarcer than the plain teapots, especially the tall teapot shown on the right. The matching pyrex tile under the squat teapot on the left is also hard to find with the corresponding teapot.

Photography Background

Hi D.C.B,

From where I sit, the fan vase on the right is 3 different colors due to the background, and the smaller vase on the left has a color which is possibly incorrect for the same background reason. It would make sense to me when we discuss these various colors, that the objects background needs to be a white or pale “Thunder Gray” to bring consistency to the color comparisions. Just an old curatorial thought given to me by Ray Errett, former CMof G Photographer.

Cheers,
