Frank & Elizabeth Creech of Brevard, North Carolina send along this delightful note. The Creech’s have a superb Carder perfume collection. At the Symposium they will be the lead off speakers with a talk entitled “Glass – Miracle Born of Fire”.

Dear Alan,

Thank you so much Alan for sharing your early “love story” of how you first came to know and appreciate Carder Steuben glass. It is no wonder that you were totally SMITTEN, for you were hit with a triple whammy: 1) your eyes and mind were filled with Carder Steuben glass courtesy of the fabulous Rockwell Museum collection; 2) you had the great good fortune to meet the Dean of Steuben Glass, Tom Dimitroff, at his HOME no less!–and, 3) scarcely one month later found you attending your first Carder Steuben Symposium with all that entails!!!—It is a very good thing that your wife is so understanding!

Thank you, Alan, in behalf of all of us who delight in the pursuit of beauty.

Perhaps a few more such delightful stories will come to light around the lunch table or strolling the streets of Corning in just two weeks! We look forward to seeing you there.
