If you look at Ill. 106 or 124 in Gardner’s “The Glass of Frederick Carder”, you’ll see the figure of a Spanish Galleon engraved in the glass. Thanks to Jo Ann Godawa she has sent along a picture of a Spanish Galleon metal holder for a piece of Carder’s glass. I

Jo Ann reports there is a hole in the middle of the metal base. She suggests this may have been made for a ship since the metal work would have been bolted down.
