Shipping

Hi Alan,

We purchased years ago from a reputable auction house a pair of Mirror Black Triple Prong vases. Well when shipping they put only a wedge support between the prongs and not a full support and when the wrapped them in bubble wrap one of the prongs snapped off. Only one was signed and that ended up being the one that broke. It doesn’t just happen from small place.

Fine Art Shippers

Auction houses are not the only culprits in shipping rare and expensive items. Museum and fine art shippers have been known to ship objects prior to or after exhibitions and when received the items can be damaged also. Think carefully prior to lending or shipping any valuable object and choose the shipper wisely.
