See the attached PDF file. A nice article from Saint Louis University on its gift
of a major glass collection and its permanent exhibit at the Samuel Cupples house
in St. Louis. This exhibit is a broad collection of glass with Carder Steuben
emphasis. Some of our members played a major role in the assemblage of the
Carder portion of the collection.
Report from the Early Auction. The sale this weekend saw many Carder
collectors present in person and by phone. Bidding was spirited and was
reflected in substantial and sometimes surprising prices for Carder’s glass. As
Steve Early noted during the auction, “Steuben is a good place to be”. If this is
a sign of things to come it was a good weekend for Carder collectors.
The Carder Steuben Club fiscal year is September to September. If you
haven’t signed up for membership for the coming year, now is the time to sign
up. See the attached application.
