Rande Bly has a follow up to his crack Rouge Flambé damaged plate from yesterday.
I am sorry I forgot to identify the red plate. It was Steuben Rouge Flambé. Rouge Flambé exists under internal stress and is subject to damage at any time. If this plate were to have fractured after it had left the factory without personal intervention then the definition of the damage would be considered to be a stress mark. Mandarin Jade is the same.
I have not personally seen one of these plates in undamaged condition sell. So for arguments sake let’s just say $10,000.00. if the plate brought $90.00 damaged then the dollar value attached to the stress mark would be nine thousand nine hundred and ten dollars. Now that is some expensive stress.
When I first started I used to defend and like damaged pieces. It was a fight I lost time after time.

Randy, you are right for sure…….but that Pig starts looking a bit better if she is a piece of Mandarin Yellow.
