Report from The Symposium – Colorless Carder

Oct 30, 2018
Issue 3070

by Bonnie Salzman

Long time member and past president Scott Hansen provided Symposium attendees with a chronological history of shapes in colorless glass – many that were acid etched or cut – from the Carder era.

Scott packed up more than 100 pieces and shared them with the group. It was amazing to see teapots, goblets, table decorations, vases, bowls, silverware, pitchers and a variety of other pieces. There were even some lovely silver deposit pieces. The scope of these colorless pieces were amazing and guests expressed a new appreciation for them.
