Sorry to hear of Amy’s passing. She was a class act. Always fun to hear her stories of acquiring Carder Steuben in the early days. She also told great stories of rescuing pieces after the flood. I’ll miss her upbeat personality.

Amy and Frank Blake were wonderful kind people. David and I learned so much about Steuben glass from them in our early days of collecting. Their shop was one of our first stops when we came to Corning and of course when we went to antique shows.

One of my favorite pieces that I have in our dining room is not Glass at all, but a beautiful china bowl decorated with gorgeous tulips. It was sitting prominently displayed on a table at one of the shows the Blakes were in. I love tulips and had to have it. Amy loved it too and was a little reluctant to let it go.That was all we bought that day. I think of Amy each time I look at the bowl and always will. Such a lovely, smart, knowledgeable woman who will certainly be missed.
