It was good to see the mailer about the talk with Charles Lotton and Max Erlacher being moderated by Tom Dimitroff at the Symposium.

All three of them are long-time friends. I hope a video of the talk is posted on the web so that those of us who cannot attend the Symposium can see and hear the talk.

We first met Charles at the Miami Antique Show a long time ago. We carried his work when Elissa had a Craft and Gift Gallery in New Jersey but we kept some of his pieces for our personal collection.

Two of our favorites are a Glass Shoe Charles made for her and the 15″ Peacock Feather Rondel which hangs in our family room.

We met both Max and Tom when we first came to Corning around 35 years ago. We have a couple of pieces engraved by Max but sadly don’t have any Charles-Max pieces. We’ve also shared many good times with Tom and Peetie, especially during the gatherings at their home after Carder dinners.

I’m sorry we will be unable to attend the Symposium but we will be on a cruise celebrating my 80th birthday with our family.

I have an open salt that I think may be Steuben but I know nothing about clear Steuben. It is a little heavy but it looks like ones I have seen. Can anyone in the Club help me out? Any help is greatly appreciated.
