REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA

Yesterday I attended the Redondo Beach summer antique show. For those in the Los Angeles area if you haven’t gone, you might want to consider attending this weekend. Quite a number of dealers had quite a few pieces of Carder Steuben on display for sale. I thought in totality an unusually large and broad offering. Something to find for all collectors from beginners to the most experienced collectors. I was just surprised to see so many dealers at one show with Steuben and then with such strong presentations.

Mark Chamovitz made an appeal in the last newsletter to those coming to the Symposium in Corning, NY to let him know if they would participate in showing off their favorite piece of Steuben and perhaps saying a few words. Mark reports:
I have already received approximately a half dozen responses, and I hope to have a roster in place prior to the symposium as to how many folks are going to wish to participate. MChamovitz@PITAIRPORT.com

Finally, a reminder. If you’re thinking about attending the Symposium make your hotel reservations now. While we’ve reserved a good number of rooms, the expiry date to reserve is early this year because of competing events in Corning and rooms won’t be available as we get close to Symposium date of Oct. 1-3
