Rande Bly of Birmingham, Alabama pictures damage and then adds his sense of humor.
This piece struggled to bring $90. It’s value has been destroyed. As dealers we must view these pieces as they are. The market and the value has already been set by the collectors. We are at their mercy. We can tag every pretty and cute name in the book on these pieces and damage is damage to a buyer with money in their hand. It is after their purchase damage becomes “heat checks” “stress marks” and “flea bites” and only then to the new owner. Can someone please tell me what a flea bite is? Maybe I should start calling them “tic kisses”. Oh speaking of kisses I have a picture of a Rouge FlambĂ© kiss for y’all. Let me try the arms length test on it.
