Start Talking

Dr. Greg Merkel is so knowledgeable about Carder Steuben glass and has given so many talks to Symposium attendees, we just give him a time slot and let him start talking. Greg will continue with his color presentations, this time focusing on “Carder’s Yellow, Amber and Brown Steuben Glassware” at the Carder Steuben Symposium, September 15 – 17. Greg’s talks are always amazingly informative, and careful notes should be taken.

SUMMER RALLY

We’ve experienced a nice rally this summer, adding about 5% to our membership numbers. Now is a great time to join the Club and help keep the rally going. Your membership will be good for the rest of 2016 and all of 2017. Plus, you will be eligible for the member rate for the Symposium next month. If you are already a member, consider giving a gift of a membership to someone who is not currently a member. Either way, the rally will continue.

Request of Symposium Attendees

At the request of numerous Symposium attendees, the CMOG Hot Glass Demo Team has agreed to put together a program on Saturday morning, September 17, to discuss glass making formulas, techniques, and tools. The glass artists will attempt to recreate an object from a Carder Steuben design in the all new Amphitheater Hot Shop. This will be an exciting and informative program that should not be missed, and is one of many great presentations at the upcoming Carder Steuben Symposium, September 15 – 17. How could you think of missing this?
