Yesterday we featured some pictures of glass that will be available at the Symposium to attendees. This caused Michael Krumme of Los Angeles to raise questions about one of the pictures.

Right Left

Wow, those are some great pieces!

I had a couple of questions about the perfumes.

1. What is the technique or glass type for the one front/right? In the photograph, it almost looks like it’s copper-covered, but perhaps it’s just Aurene, and not reflecting as much light.

2. What colors comprise the tall one behind it? The whitish glass with blue foot very much resembles Fry’s Foval art glass. If Steuben made a similar color combination, I’d like to know any tips in distinguishing one from the other. (I’m fairly familiar with Foval, and generally recognize the shades of green and blue that Fry used for feet, handles, etc.)

I always want to learn! Michael Krumme
